Laser Resurfacing – ApplicationLaser Resurfacing

The laser is applied by using a hand held laser instrument to target the imperfections. The doctor is able to remove the damaged skin tissue one thin layer at a time.  Eventually he will expose the healthy and fresh new skin that exists underneath.

One of the best things about using laser for this process is that there is relatively no loss of blood during the procedure.  The laser enables the doctor to be precise and exact.

The procedure is usually performed in a derma surgeon’s office.  Resurfacing accomplishes a general rebirth or regeneration of your skin.  It is help in erasing fine lines and wrinkles, lessen the presence of crow’s feet,  erase the pucker marks around the mouth area,  remove aging or brown spots, help even out skin tone, and generally improve your skin tone and texture.

Laser Resurfacing – Expectations

Expectations have to be kept realistic when receiving laser resurfacing.  It is not able to eliminate deep folds and wrinkles. It does not take the place of a real facelift.  It works best on small wrinkles and creases.  Some medical offices combine laser resurfacing with liposuction of the neck and face area or eyelid surgery.
